Elden Ring Nightreign: How to play cross-platform

by Flo

Elden Ring: Nightreign offers an exciting co-op experience, but only within the same platform or console family. Cross-platform play between PC, PlayStation, and Xbox is not possible.

How to play co-op in Nightreign – instructions and tips

Elden Ring: Nightreign is designed to be played either alone or in a team of three. Two-player co-op is not supported, so you can either play solo or with two other players. However, you are not at a disadvantage as a single player: The bosses’ health points adjust dynamically to the size of the group, so solo players have a fair, albeit challenging, chance.

  • Make sure that you and your teammates are playing on the same platform (or console family).

  • Form a group of three people at the start of each round.

  • You will be transported together to a randomly generated section of the game world and must work your way up from level 1 by collecting runes and equipment.

  • The goal is to survive two nights and defeat one of the eight Nightlords on the third day.

  • Important notes: There are no AI companions – if you are traveling alone, you must rely solely on your own skills. In addition, Nightreign is a pure PvE game with no PvP elements. Finally, your character from the main game Elden Ring cannot be transferred over; instead, you choose one of eight predefined Nightfarers at the beginning of each round.
