The world of Oblivion Remastered only reveals its secrets with the targeted use of cheats – whether through hidden debug menus, precise quest manipulation, or customizing the game world down to the last detail.
Oblivion Remastered Cheats: Console commands and their application
To use cheats effectively in Oblivion Remastered, open the developer console on PC with the hash key (). Please note: Cheats disable achievements and only work in single-player mode. For console players, mods such as Cheat Room are required via the Bethesda Library.
- Adjust gold: Use player.additem 0000000F [amount]. Example: player.additem 0000000F 10000 adds 10,000 gold. Make sure you use the correct spelling without brackets.
- Maximize skills: Use advskill [skill name] [value] to increase specific skills. advskill Destruction 50 increases destruction magic by 50 points. Alternatively, set player.setav [skill] 100 to immediately max out the skill.
- God mode and more: tgm activates unlimited health, magic, and stamina. ObvGodMode, on the other hand, also maximizes all skills, adds 1,000,000 gold, and unlocks all spells – ideal for experimentation.
- Decrypt map: tmm 1 reveals all markers, tfow removes the fog from the map. Combine both commands to make the entire game world visible.
- Manipulate NPCs: placeatme [NPC ID] spawns characters – for example, placeatme 00000007 for a warrior. With setscale 2, you can double the size of an NPC, and setscale 0.5 reduces its size.
Advanced techniques: quests, physics, and hidden mechanics
Cheats in Oblivion Remastered allow you to make changes that fundamentally alter the game. Save separately before critical commands to avoid losing your game.
- Skip quests: completequest [QuestID] ends missions immediately. Quest IDs can be found in wikis such as UESP. Example: completequest MS11 completes the Thieves Guild quest line. caqs ends all quests in the game – only use this in an emergency.
- Control time and weather: set timescale to 20 speeds up the time of day by 20 times. fw 38EA1 sets a clear sky, fw 0016C3 creates a storm. Ideal for atmospheric screenshots.
- Item duplication in Remaster: Open a storage container and hold down Shift (PC) or RB (console) while moving a stackable item. The item remains in your inventory and is copied to the container at the same time – perfect for rare potions or armor.
- Collision deactivation: tcl lets you float through walls. Combine this with tm (hide UI) for undisturbed exploration or spectacular shots.
- Bypass quest items: setquestobject [ItemID] 0 removes the quest item status so you can sell or store items. Use getstage [QuestID] to check the current quest progress.
