If you want to move objects up and down in Sims 4, you can only do so with a cheat. This can be done with a simple keyboard shortcut.

Moving objects up and down in Sims 4 – here’s how

In Sims 4’s build mode, you can move pictures or shelves up and down on a wall.

• In Sims 4, hold down the [Alt] key while moving the object with the mouse button pressed to move it to the desired location. However, this does not work with all objects.

• You can use a cheat to remove this restriction. Press the [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [C] keys simultaneously to open the cheat console.

• Enter the command “bb.moveobjects” and confirm your entry by pressing the [Enter] key. You can deactivate the cheat again if necessary by entering the command “bb.moveobjects” again.

• Now you can really position all objects anywhere you want. Use the number key [9] to move selected objects up and the number key [0] to move objects down.

These problems may occur with the cheat

Although it expands the creative possibilities for designing houses in Sims 4, the cheat also comes with some obstacles.

• Not all objects can be moved freely; problems can arise with doors and windows, for example.

• If you place an object floating freely in the room, your Sim may not be able to reach it and therefore cannot interact with it.
