If your power bank no longer charges, this could be due to age or a fixable defect. We’ll show you what you can do.
First aid: Power bank no longer charges
- First, try charging the power bank with a different USB cable. A different power adapter can also work wonders.
- In some cases, lint and other dirt can accumulate in the charging socket. Bend a paper clip and use it to clean the charging socket very carefully.
- If the power bank is not completely empty, simply discharge it. To do this, use up the entire battery and then charge it completely.
Power bank no longer charges: replacement under warranty
- Power banks have become a mass product in recent years. Very inexpensive power banks therefore sometimes leave something to be desired in terms of quality. After several months or years, a battery can quickly give up the ghost.
- As a rule, you are entitled to a one-year statutory warranty. If the power bank is not older than this, contact the retailer or the manufacturer directly. In most cases, the product will then be replaced.
