Resetting your Beko washing machine to factory settings – here’s how

by Tobias

If you are experiencing problems with your Beko washing machine, it may help to reset it to factory settings. This can be done in just a few steps.

Resetting your Beko washing machine to factory settings

Deleting the program on your Beko washing machine and resetting it to factory settings may solve your problem. You need to hold down the following key combinations to reset the machine:

  1. Press the “Start/Pause/Cancel” button on your machine.
  2. Hold the button down for at least three seconds.
  3. The word “END” should now appear on the display.
  4. Please note: This key combination does not work reliably on all models. On older Beko appliances, the selector switch must also be set to the neutral position (off position).
  5. If the reset does not work, disconnect the machine from the power supply for at least 1–2 minutes by unplugging the power cord. For persistent errors, we recommend disconnecting the machine for about 30 minutes.
  6. If your Beko washing machine freezes completely and no longer accepts any inputs, a so-called emergency restart may help: Turn the selector switch to position 1, then unplug the power cord and wait a few minutes. Then reconnect the machine.

Resetting the Beko washing machine did not solve the problem: What to do?

If resetting the machine to factory settings did not solve your problem, you can try other steps.

    • First, check the Beko manufacturer’s website. Your problem may be listed in the frequently asked questions section, also known as FAQs.
    • If you still can’t find any help here, contact the relevant customer service department. The experts may be able to explain how to fix the problem over the phone.
    • If your machine is broken, a repair technician or a new purchase may help. When buying a new machine, make sure you choose the right drum size.
