If you want to download videos from Instagram, you can’t do so using the Instagram app. In this practical tip, we’ll show you how to download them anyway.
Instructions: Downloading videos from Instagram
First, you need a suitable app for downloading the videos. iPhone users can use the free app instdown. Android users have a much wider choice and can use Downloader for Instagram, for example.
- Open Instagram on your smartphone and search for the video you want.
- Tap the menu button in the top right corner above the video and select the “Copy link” option.
- Now launch the downloaded app and paste the link there.
- The video will then be downloaded and saved directly to your smartphone.
- Tip: Alternatively, you can also download the videos to your PC using the DownloadHelper add-on for Chrome and Firefox. To do this, simply click on the extension icon in the top right corner of the browser to download the video started on Instagram.
