Using ChatGPT Atlas with iOS: Here’s how

The AI browser ChatGPT Atlas is not yet available for iOS devices. If you use an iPhone or iPad, you’ll have to wait a little longer.

Using ChatGPT Atlas with iOS: Not yet possible

At the end of October, OpenAI released ChatGPT Atlas, a new browser equipped with various AI features.

  • Currently, the browser is only available for various macOS versions. These include devices such as iMacs and MacBooks.
  • An iOS version for iPhone or iPad is also planned for release in the future. An exact date has not yet been set (as of November 2025).
  • A possible release date is expected in spring 2026. The iOS version of ChatGPT was also released about six months after the desktop version.
  • Note: Versions for Windows and Android are also planned. These will also be released at a later date.

ChatGPT Atlas for iOS: Possible features

ChatGPT Atlas for iOS will likely offer a similar range of features to the macOS version.

    • The browser is equipped with ChatGPT. Enter an AI prompt in the search bar and Atlas will assist you, just like when using ChatGPT.
    • The browser remembers your search queries and summaries. For example, you can ask ChatGPT Atlas for your last opened Wikipedia entry and you will be redirected to it.
    • This means that, in theory, you no longer have to search for the page yourself in your history. This can save time.
    • There is also agent mode. This allows you to have the browser take over a wide variety of tasks, such as online purchases or bookings.
    • However, this is only available if you purchase one of the following ChatGPT subscriptions: Plus, Pro, or Business.
