Jimdo: Webmail login – how it works

by Johannes

The Jimdo webmail login is quick and easy to access. To use it, you must first set up your own Jimdo email address. However, this feature is only available to users of Jimdo Creator plans.

How to log in to Jimdo Webmail

You can log in to Jimdo Webmail in just a few steps:

  1. Open the website webmail.jimdo.com in your browser.
  2. Enter the Jimdo address you set up under “Email address.”
  3. Enter your password under “Password.”
  4. Click on “Log in” to go directly to your inbox.
  5. This login option is only available to Jimdo Creator users with their own domain. Dolphin users must link external email services.

Set up your Jimdo webmail address

Jimdo Webmail offers you the right email domain for your website. For example, if you have the web domain “so-geht-der-webmail-login.de,” your email domain could be “[email protected].” To use the service of your own email domain, you must subscribe to one of Jimdo’s paid packages: “Start,” “Grow,” “Grow Legal,” or “Unlimited.” The “Play” package does not include webmail. Furthermore, every package for an online store includes webmail. To set up a Jimdo webmail address, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Jimdo Control Panel.
  2. Navigate to “Domains and Emails → Email Accounts → Create New Account.”
  3. Choose the name before the “@” (e.g., info@ or contact@).
  4. Enter your first and last name and choose a secure password.
  5. Click on “Create email account.”
  6. You can then log in directly at webmail.jimdo.com.

Tips for login problems

Even though logging in to Jimdo Webmail usually works without any problems, difficulties can occasionally arise—whether due to forgotten login details, technical issues, or browser settings. The following tips will help you quickly resolve the most common problems:

  • Forgot your password? You can reset your password via the Jimdo Control Panel.
  • Error message when logging in? Check that you have entered the correct address (webmail.jimdo.com).
  • General malfunctions: Server problems are rare. You can check whether Jimdo is currently reporting any problems on websites such as allestörungen.de.
  • Clear your browser cache: If you’re having trouble logging in, deleting your cookies or trying a different browser often helps.

Using Jimdo Webmail with external programs

Jimdo Webmail can also be integrated into email programs such as Outlook, Thunderbird, or smartphone email apps. To do this, use the IMAP/SMTP data:

  • Incoming mail server (IMAP): imap.jimdo.com, port 993, SSL/TLS
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.jimdo.com, port 465, SSL/TLS
  • Username: Your complete Jimdo email address
  • Password: The password you chose when setting up your account
  • Advantage: Your emails are stored centrally in your email program, so you don’t have to log in via your browser every time.
