People who suffer from overgrown eyebrows usually want to remove their monobrow permanently. In this practical tip, we summarize various methods with which you can easily get rid of the excess hairs.
Removing a monobrow: plucking works
The most common method of removing a monobrow is certainly plucking. All you need is a pair of tweezers and a washcloth or something similar. These are things that most people already have at home.
- Before you start plucking the monobrow, gently warm up the relevant areas of skin. This means running hot water over a washcloth and then pressing it onto the skin or plucking the hairs after a hot shower.
- This should make plucking with tweezers less painful, as the pores of the skin widen.
- Now use a magnifying mirror to see the individual hairs clearly. When plucking, it is advisable to tighten the skin with a finger. This makes it easier to catch the hairs.
- Take your time and remove the extra hairs between the eyebrows one by one. You can then also work on the contours of both brows.

Use wax: How to get rid of monobrow too
An alternative to plucking the monobrow is wax, which can be used to remove the hairs very cleanly. Depending on the product, more or less practice is required. However, the result also lasts a particularly long time.
- Select the right product first. Cold wax strips are particularly suitable for the facial area. Pre-formed wax strips for the eyebrows are now also available and are particularly easy to use.
- For the sake of simplicity, it is advisable to use ready-made cold wax strips for the face. To do this, clean the area of the monobrow and then apply the wax strip in the direction of hair growth. Apply it firmly to the skin.
- Then pull it off with a jerky movement against the direction of hair growth. You can also style the remaining contours of the eyebrows with strips pre-shaped for eyebrows.
- Care for the skin after waxing with a mild cream or cool it with ice cubes in case of redness.
After removing facial hair the skin will be smooth for at least two weeks.
