Fallout Shelter: Having a Baby—Here’s How

by Mike

To keep civilization from dying out in your Fallout Shelter bunker, you should regularly ensure that babies are born. We’ll show you how to help the next generation get off to a good start in Fallout Shelter.

Having a Baby in Fallout Shelter

In Fallout Shelter, people often die faster than you’d like. That’s why you should always make sure there are enough children:

  1. Place a man and a woman with the highest possible Charisma in the same barracks.
  2. Wait a few minutes, and the two characters will automatically fall in love. This process may take a while—you don’t necessarily have to watch it happen.
  3. If the characters then disappear into the back room, the woman will return with a baby bump.
  4. After 3 hours, you’ll be notified of the new arrival. After another 3 hours, the child will grow up and be able to take on their own tasks.
  5. Note: If the characters do not fall in love with each other, simply swap them out. Closely related characters cannot have children.
