Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: All platforms at a glance
With Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, French developer Sandfall Interactive presents a modern homage to JRPGs set in the picturesque Belle Époque.
- The RPG is available for Windows PCs via Steam or the Epic Games Store. A physical version for Windows is not available.
- The same applies to the Xbox Series S/X. You can get it from the Microsoft Store.
- If you prefer to play on PS5, you can purchase the physical version of Clair Obscure from the PS Store.
- Alternatively, the game is available via the cloud gaming services GeForce NOW and xCloud. You will need to purchase the French RPG beforehand, as neither service offers the game itself.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: These are the PC system requirements
If you want to experience the Japanese RPG-inspired hit from the French studio, your PC must meet certain system requirements:
- You need at least Windows 10 (64-bit) to play Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. However, Windows 11 is recommended by the studio. Your system must also support DirectX version 12.
- The game requires 55 gigabytes of hard disk space. Only SSDs are suitable for the game.
- For the minimum requirements with 30 FPS and 1080p resolution, you need a PC with at least eight gigabytes of RAM. In addition, you need an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X processor.
- There are three graphics card options available: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (six gigabytes of VRAM), AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT (six gigabytes of VRAM) and Intel Arc A380 (six gigabytes of VRAM).
- If you want to play Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at 60 FPS with optimal settings, you will need a significantly more powerful system. The RAM alone doubles to 16 gigabytes.
- In terms of processors, you will need at least an Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. For the GPU, you can either opt for an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (eight gigabytes of VRAM) or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (16 gigabytes of VRAM).
- Note: If you are using a cloud gaming service, you should have a sufficiently strong internet connection. We recommend at least 15 to 25 megabits per second.
