Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition does not currently exist on PS5 and has not been officially announced. The game is currently only available for PC via Steam.

Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition is a comprehensive remaster of the cult RTS from 2002 – with improved graphics, revamped controls, and tons of new content such as a co-op mode, larger maps, new campaigns, and units.
- Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition was released as planned on July 15, 2025, exclusively for PC via Steam.
- As of now, no version has been announced for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, or other platforms.
- Crossplay or console releases have not been mentioned in the official developer FAQ or press articles to date.
Options for PS5 players – What is possible (and what is not possible)
Since there is no official PS5 version, the question arises as to how you could experience the game on the PS5.
- PS5 Remote Play or PS5 web browser: Remote Play allows you to stream a PC to your PS5 – provided you run the Steam client on a PC and stream it.
The PS5 web browser function is very limited and is only suitable for simple Steam transfers, but not for actually running demanding RTS games such as Stronghold Crusader: DE. Furthermore, this method is neither officially supported nor reliable. PS5 Remote Play or PS5 Web Browser: Remote Play allows you to stream a PC to your PS5 – provided you run the Steam client on a PC and stream it.

However, this is currently unavailable and remains pure speculation.
- Waiting for a possible PS5 port: No schedule for console versions of the Definitive Edition has been announced yet. If the PC release is successful, a port could follow – but this is speculation without official confirmation.
