In The Sims 4, every Sim has different skills. You can increase these as the game progresses, allowing you to create completely unique Sims.
Improving skills in The Sims 4: These moods are helpful
If you don’t want to cheat and would rather improve skills naturally, there’s only one thing to do: practice, practice, practice. But even here, you can cheat a little. With the right mood, your Sim will learn twice as fast in some cases:
- Your Sim should be focused when fishing, gardening, doing crafts, using logic, programming, space engineering, playing video games, and doing wellness activities. To help your Sim focus, have them play chess, for example.
- Self-confidence is best for charisma skills. Positive interactions with other Sims and professional success will make your Sim more self-confident.
- Playful is the best choice for comedy and mischief. To make your Sim playful, have them take a bubble bath or turn on the comedy channel on TV.
- Your Sim should be inspired if you want to develop their baking and cooking, gourmet cooking, violin, painting, guitar or piano skills, as well as writing and DJ mixing. Your Sim should also be inspired for photography, herbalism, mixing, and singing.
- Energetic is best suited for fitness. You can achieve this mood with a cold shower, for example. Coffee and electronic music also make your Sim feel energetic.
- Angry is also important for Mischief, alongside the Playful mood. It is primarily triggered in your Sim by negative interactions with others.
- Children should be inspired for creativity, focused for mental ability, and playful for motor and social skills. For motor skills, being energetic is also an advantage, and for social skills, being confident doesn’t hurt.
- Toddlers should be energetic for movement, focused for thinking, and playful for imagination. Self-confidence is good for communication, and no special mood is necessary for potty training.
