The classic game “The Sims 2” was released 11 years before Windows 10, yet you can still install the game on the current Windows. We show you how to do it.
Windows 10: Install and play The Sims 2
- Both the classic “The Sims 2” and the Ultimate Collection should generally run on Windows 10. However, especially after the release of Windows 10, some players experienced problems.
- If you download the game via Origin, current patches are installed directly. If you have Sims 2 on CD or DVD, you may have to install the patches manually. On the following website of ModTheSims.info you can find all patches for The Sims 2 for download.
- In particular, the installation of mods and other changes to the game can be problematic. If Sims 2 does not start after installation, right-click the EXE file and select “Properties”. Under the “Compatibility” tab, you can select another operating system and test it.
