Returning an item to sportswear manufacturer Decathlon can be done in just a few clicks. There are certain points to note.
Decathlon: Returns at a glance
At Decathlon, you have 30 days to return your order after receipt at no additional cost.
- To initiate the return, visit the Decathlon returns page. There, either enter your email address and order number or log in with your customer account.
- Select the items you want to return. You can then choose whether you need a DHL (branch/packing station), Hermes, or bulky goods return (DHL/Hermes).
- You will then receive a return label that you should print out. If you do not have access to a printer, you can use the QR code displayed in the return to obtain the return label at a Hermes, Post, or DHL branch.
- Pack the order and send the package. You do not need to include any documents such as a return slip in the package. Returns are free of charge as long as you do not use a different shipping company.
- If the item is bulky, you will then be contacted by a shipping company. They will give you a pickup date for the return.
- Tip: You can also return products directly to a store. All you need is the invoice number and the goods. In some stores or for sports equipment, an appointment is usually necessary for returns.
- Once the return has been received by Decathlon, it will be checked. If everything is in order, you will receive the corresponding amount via the payment method you used for the order. The refund will be made within 14 days.
Decathlon: What you should keep in mind when returning items
To ensure that your return via DHL or Hermes to Decathlon goes smoothly, the following points are important:
- The goods must be undamaged, clean, and complete. Please keep this in mind. For example, if you try out a road bike, you should return it in the same condition as when it was delivered.
- Labels must not be removed under any circumstances. Without them, the return is no longer possible.
- The exchange of items is not possible. In this case, you must place a new order.
- After sending the return, you will receive a postal receipt. This contains the tracking number and should be kept in case the return is lost.
Decathlon: Returns of marketplace partner products
The return of marketplace partner products works slightly differently at Decathlon:
- Partner products offered through the online store can no longer be returned to Decathlon. This also applies to combined orders of Decathlon and marketplace partner products.
- Returns can only be made using the enclosed return label provided by the partner. The return slip will show you which shipping company, for example DHL, is available for the return.
- You also have 30 days after receiving your order to do this. Some marketplace partners even offer longer return periods. You can find these in the company’s terms and conditions of sale.
- You will receive the refund amount after the goods have been inspected via the payment method used. When you receive the money varies from partner to partner.
