Silksong will be released on September 4, 2025!

Hollow Knight: Silksong is the sequel to the 2D soulslike game in which you take on the role of Hornet and explore the kingdom of Pharloom.

Silksong was not originally planned as a standalone expansion to Hollow Knight. Hornet was first announced as a playable character in 2014 after reaching a stretch goal on Kickstarter as the protagonist of the DLC. It will be released on September 4, 2025!

• Over the course of six years, the first character animations and further information about Hornet were released. The change from DLC to sequel was announced on February 14, 2019, with a trailer on YouTube.
