V Rising offers a wide range of console commands. These allow players on private servers and in single-player mode to customize and simplify their gaming experience.
V Rising: The seven most important console commands
Using console commands in V Rising opens up a wide range of possibilities: you can spawn items, manipulate game time, teleport players, or perform administrative tasks. Below, we present the seven most important console commands for V Rising.
- adminauth: Before you can use any other commands, you must activate the console in the options and obtain SuperAdmin rights with the adminauth command. Enter adminauth into the console using the controller to authenticate yourself as an administrator.
- give [item name] [quantity]: This command spawns any item directly into your inventory. For example, “give IronIngot 100” will give you 100 iron ingots.
- addtime [hours]: This advances the in-game time by the desired number of hours (maximum twelve hours). Example: “addtime 8” advances the game by eight hours.
- teleport [player name] [x] [y]: This command teleports a player (or yourself) to a specific position on the map. Example: “teleport Player1 100 200” moves “Player1” to coordinates 100/200.
- changedurability [value]: Changes the durability of all equipped items. Positive values repair, negative values damage. Example: “changedurability 100” restores durability.
- changehealthofclosesttomouse [value]: This changes the health points of the target closest to the mouse pointer. Positive values heal, negative values damage. For example, “changehealthofclosesttomouse -50” damages the target by 50.
- banuser [SteamID]: This command bans a player from the server based on their SteamID. Example: “banuser 123456789” permanently removes the player with this SteamID from the server.
Notes on use and further options
To use console commands, you must always be on a private server or in single-player mode and have the console enabled in the settings.
- Many commands are powerful and can greatly affect the gaming experience. Therefore, use them with caution and save your game regularly.
- In addition to the top 7 commands listed above, there are numerous other commands for administrative tasks, modding, or debugging, such as kicking players, displaying user lists, or adjusting character size. A complete overview can be found in the official guides, among other places.
- Tip: Many commands can be combined or further customized with parameters. Experiment on a test server to learn about the possibilities without jeopardizing your main game.
