Ebay Classifieds: What is it?

by Johannes

On eBay Classifieds you can post ads on the one hand, and buy all kinds of things in your area or all over Germany on the other. In short, there is nothing you can’t find here. The offer is extremely wide-ranging: Services, computer courses, real estate, cars, bicycles, clothes, pets, tickets and even educational offers, to name just a few areas.

You can find almost anything on eBay Classifieds

Unlike eBay, eBay Classifieds is completely free. Both posting ads and buying, is free of any fees. You can find a selection of categories on the picture and in the following text. All subject areas can be found here.

  • One of the biggest categories with the most ads is the clothing category. From unworn suits to second-hand baby clothes, everything is here.
  • But services and even apprenticeships are also offered here. Whether it’s wallpapering or pest control – if you don’t find what you’re looking for here, you’re probably looking in the wrong place.
  • The category “to lend, to exchange, to give away” is extremely interesting. Do you just want to get rid of something as quickly as possible for which there are hardly any buyers and the goods are almost worth something? Why not give it away, or search for free items in your area.

eBay Classifieds: How to get paid

Classically, you pay cash on eBay Classifieds, provided the buyer picks up the goods from the seller. If both parties agree on shipping the goods, payment is usually made privately via PayPal or the money is transferred to the desired bank account.

  • If you pay the money in advance and the goods do not arrive, the chances of tracing the recipient and getting the money back are usually slim. This is a problem that eBay Classifieds has now addressed.
  • You can now pay directly through eBay Classifieds. This secures your purchase so you can get your money back if the product you bought doesn’t arrive.
  • The buyer pays the amount by bank transfer, Sofortüberweisung or PayPal to Ebay, where the money remains for at least 14 days. Only when the seller confirms receipt of the goods does the seller receive the money. If the goods do not arrive, the case can be negotiated and arbitrated via Ebay.
  • For the seller, the service is completely free. The buyer pays a small fee, which depends on the amount of the purchase price. In return, he receives the security.
