Tip 1: Burn Photos to a CD in the Right Format
- You should generally burn your photos to a CD as JPG files. In this format, the images can be opened on any standard device and also take up less space on the CD.
- If the images are in their raw form—such as RAW format—on your PC, you can easily convert the files to JPG.
Tip 2: Consider the file size of your images
- Depending on the camera and resolution, different images have different file sizes. Since CDs typically only offer about 700 MB of storage space, there’s room for only a limited number of images.
- If you want to burn as many images as possible to a CD, you should compress your photos. If you want to burn your images in the highest quality, you’ll need to use multiple CDs, depending on the number of images.
