At the end of each year, Spotify shows its users their personal musical highlights—called Spotify Wrapped. Here’s a quick guide on how to view your Spotify year in review for 2025 and get interesting information about Spotify Wrapped.
Spotify Wrapped 2025: When you can view the review
Spotify collects your user data throughout the year. The platform counts the frequency of songs played and the number of minutes listened to. This allows statistics to be compiled, which are summarized in your year in review.
- Data is collected from January to November. The review is therefore available to view and listen to annually at the end of November or beginning of December. In recent years, there has been a noticeable pattern: in 2022 and 2023, it was released on November 30, and in 2020 and 2021, on December 1.
- Update: In 2025, the annual review will be available from December 3, 2025.
- If a song is longer than 30 seconds, it counts towards the statistics. Music that is skipped is therefore ignored. However, there is no way to distinguish between actively listening and leaving Spotify playing on repeat in the background or while falling asleep, and both are included in the rating.
- Podcasts and other content besides music are also evaluated and included in the review.
View Spotify Wrapped 2025: Here’s how
Most users of the music streaming service are likely familiar with the Spotify Year in Review. We have summarized here how you can view your personal musical year in review, called Spotify Wrapped.
- If you want to view your personal year in review from Spotify, you don’t have to be a paying user of the music platform. Even if you use Spotify’s ad-supported model, you can still view your year in review. As long as you have an account, you can use this feature.
- Open the Spotify app on your Android smartphone or on your iPhone or iPad. You can find more Spotify downloads in our downloads section.
- Now click on the start icon in the bottom bar – your home screen will appear with your favorite playlists and songs.
- Directly below this list, you will find the hashtag #spotifywrapped. This is your year in review.
- Simply click on the icon labeled “Your Top Songs 2025” and your personalized year in review will play in a story format.
- Within this story, Spotify will ask you if you want to save your year in review as a playlist. If you confirm this request, the review will be listed in your playlists immediately.
