If the Quick Start NewTab adware appears in your browser, you should remove it immediately. It’s not a virus, but it is annoying adware. We’ll show you how to get rid of it.
Step 1: Remove Quick Start NewTab from Windows
Quick Start NewTab is adware that embeds itself in your browser. It usually sneaks onto your computer unnoticed when you install other software. Among other things, it changes your homepage and search engine.
- Uninstall the program: Open the Control Panel and sort the list of installed programs by installation date. Remove any unknown new entries from this list. You can find detailed instructions in the practical tip “Uninstalling Windows Programs.”
- AdwCleaner: The free AdwCleaner finds and removes even the last traces of the adware. Run a scan and delete all detected items.
- Malwarebytes Anti-Malware: Your system may be infected with other malware. This free virus scanner is considered extremely reliable.
Step 2: Remove QuickStart NewTab from your browser
If QuickStart NewTab is still present in your browser, completely reset it. Follow the instructions below even if you are not currently using the browser.
