Initially, there were no infants in “The Sims 4”, but since an update they are now an integral part of the new Sims part. How to have kids in The Sims 4
Children can be created in “The Sims 4” directly when creating a new family or later in the game via the function “Techtelmechtel” or “Baby machen”.
- Children cannot be selected and created as babies when they are created, but only in the infant stage. You can assign a characteristic when doing this. When creating, it is also possible to create the children through a genetics experiment.
- Make a baby in The Sims 4 and the baby will grow into a toddler in a few days, depending on the settings. The baby can also age manually by selecting the baby with a Sim and clicking “Grow Older. “

The Sims 4: Sims kids have commitments
As in the previous parts, Sims children go to school – from 8am to 3pm on weekdays. They can also take holidays, play truant or call in sick.
- Sims children should do their homework regularly, which you will find in the inventory. If you don’t study or play truant, you can expect poor school performance and the consequences here.
- To complete the Sims children’s milestones, you should make sure to complete the tasks. These can be found in the bar at the bottom. Complete these tasks and you will receive satisfaction points that you can redeem in the rewards store.

As in real life, Sims families should take good care of your offspring. Here are a few tips in dealing with the kids:
- Children and teenagers do not need a babysitter in “The Sims 4”. Only the Sims toddlers and babies are accommodated at the free day care while the other Sims are at work or leave the property. As soon as they are back home, the baby comes back. It is also possible to hire a babysitter for a fee.
- However, anyone who neglects the baby, toddler or child must expect to be taken away by the social services. Once this has happened, it cannot be undone. You should therefore take extra good care of your children, toddlers and babies.
