The Roundtable Feasts in Elden Ring: Nightreign is a strategic hub where you can improve your character, manage relics, visit merchants, and interact with other players.
Elden Ring Nightreign: Features and significance of the Roundtable Hold
Elden Ring: Nightreign is a standalone co-op spin-off that will be released on May 30, 2025. The Roundtable Hold plays a central role as the base and starting point for all adventures.
- Central base: The Roundtable Hold serves as headquarters between runs. Here, players prepare, upgrade their characters, and select their equipment.
- Relics and upgrades: After successful runs, players receive relics that serve as permanent upgrades for their characters. These relics can be equipped in the Round Table Hold and grant bonuses such as additional bleeding damage or damage reduction, regardless of the weapon currently equipped.
- Merchants and customization: The Round Table Fortress features merchants who will trade items for the currency earned in the game. Characters can also be customized with costumes from well-known FromSoftware characters.
- Training area: A new training area has been added where all weapons from the base game can be tried out. Many weapons have additional passive effects that are active even when the weapon is only in the inventory.
- NPC interactions: Talking to characters and residents of the Round Table Fortress can unlock new tasks and background information about the Nightwalkers.
Gameplay and co-op focus of Nightreign
Once you’ve prepared at the Round Table Fortress, the real adventure begins. The gameplay and close teamwork are at the heart of Nightreign. Here’s how the gameplay and progression work:
- Three-player co-op: Nightreign is designed for up to three players, but can also be played solo. The focus is on cooperation and combining abilities.
- Eight pre-built classes: There are eight playable characters with individual strengths, weaknesses, and “ultimates” (super abilities) to choose from.
- Day-night cycles and time pressure: Each round consists of two 15-minute day-night cycles in which the map gets smaller and smaller due to the “night wave” (circle of fire). At the end of each night, a boss fight awaits, preparing the group for the grand finale.
- Progression: After each run, you start again at level 1, but keep the relics you’ve unlocked as permanent upgrades for future runs.
Additional features of Elder Ring Nightreign
Beyond the basic mechanics, Elden Ring: Nightreign offers additional interesting features that provide variety and long-term motivation.
- New tasks and story: Collecting fragments and talking to NPCs unlocks new tasks and background stories.
- Automated matchmaking: When you start a mission, the game automatically searches for other players. Alternatively, you can create your own groups using a password system.
