Tame pets in Smalland with the right food. This also applies to the grasshopper, which you can also use as an effective mount.
- You need the grasshopper treat to tame grasshoppers. You prepare these in the cauldron, which you unlock with the stone saw.
- You will need three insect eggs for the treat, which can be dropped by defeated insects. You also need two units of seed oil, which you make from one seed at a time using the stone saw. The last ingredient is a petal, which you can find in the world
- Select the recipe for the treats on the cauldron to prepare them. It will then be in your inventory and you can set off in search of one of the long legs.
- Once you discover a grasshopper, you must first attack it to reduce its health points, just like in Pokémon. They must fall below fifty percent before you can tame the insect
- If the insect has less than fifty percent of its original life points while you have the treat in your inventory, you will be shown a button to tame it. Press this to make the grasshopper your pet
- Congratulations! The grasshopper is now tamed and you can use the insect as a mount. Grasshoppers are not suitable for fighting as they have a strong flight instinct.
