If you sort your contacts on Facebook, you can easily delete friends. They will not be notified.
How to delete friends on Facebook
To remove a friend from your Facebook list, you only need a few clicks. Here’s how:
- Log in to your Facebook account.
- Type the name of the friend you want to delete into the Facebook search bar.
- Now click on the icon with the person and the check mark behind it on the Facebook friend’s profile page.
- Click on the “Remove as Friend” option.
- In the pop-up window, confirm that you really want to remove this person from your friends list.
- Tip: If you just don’t want to see posts from this person in your news feed anymore, you can also “unfollow” the friend instead of deleting them.
- If you have accidentally deleted a friend, the “Add Friend” button will reappear directly on their profile page. But be careful: the person will receive a new friend request and will thus notice that you have temporarily ended your friendship on Facebook.
