Deleting an NFC tag – here’s how to do it
To programme an NFC tag and then delete it, you’ll need a specialised app. The ‘Trigger’ task launcher, for example, is ideal for this purpose. Here’s how to delete the NFC tag:
- Open the Trigger app and pull down the left-hand side menu.
- Select “Other NFC actions”.
- Then tap “Delete tag”.
- Hold the back of your smartphone up to the NFC tag. Of course, your smartphone’s NFC function must be enabled for this to work.
- The information on the tag is now deleted; it can now be re-programmed.
