Instagram: How to add a link to your bio
On Instagram, the text that appears as a small introduction on your profile is called a bio. While it is not possible to put links in texts under pictures and reels, you can, however, insert a selected link prominently in your bio. Here’s how:
- Open the app and tap on your profile picture on the bottom right.
- Now go to the “Edit profile” button.
- Here you will see the option “Add link”.
- Tap on it, you can decide whether you want to add an external link or a Facebook page.
- Go to “External link” if you want to link your homepage or online shop on Instagram, for example.
- Now insert the URL and give the link a meaningful title.
- Confirm the action with the blue tick at the top right.
