Revolut is a British online bank and does not provide a German IBAN. However, you can still use the bank in Germany.

Revolut does not have a German IBAN

Revolut allows you a convenient currency transfer via smartphone. The company was founded in 2015 and offers you transfers of conventional as well as cryptocurrencies. To open an account, you need an official ID, your smartphone and the Revolut app.

  • The provider is credited with having more than 28 million people using its services and processing transfers in over 200 countries. When you open an account with Revolut, you receive a Lithuanian account number. So far, no German account numbers are offered.
  • With Revolut, you are in the European Economic Area and can make SEPA transfers to and receive SEPA transfers from German accounts free of charge.
  • If you have an account with Revolut, you can send money conveniently. The provider doesn’t charge for transfers to your friends and there are nice features like adding a GIF.
  • Furthermore, there is the function to create your own link. This only contains your user name that you have chosen yourself. This means you don’t have to give out any bank details to request money. Revolut also offers you the option to buy shares or precious metals such as gold.
