If you have skipped unlocking the SIM card when starting the iPhone, you do not necessarily have to restart the device. We will show you how you can still unlock the SIM card afterwards.
Unlock SIM card: iPhone Settings
You will find the right option for unlocking the SIM PIN hidden in the settings. Just follow our step-by-step instructions to unlock the SIM
Step 1:
- First, open the “Settings” app on your iPhone. This is the app with the gear icon. Select the category “Mobile Network” at the top.
Step 2:
- Further down you will find the item “SIM PIN”. Select the item and you will be taken to the PIN settings.
Step 3:
- If the card is still blocked, you will be offered to unblock it directly. Tap the “Unblock” button to access the SIM card.
Unlock iPhone SIM by fake call
Alternatively, you can also unlock the SIM card in another way. To do this, simply open the phone app and call any number. The call will fail and the request to unlock the SIM will appear.
