Giving cash as a gift can sometimes be practical, but it can quickly come across as impersonal. One trick to turn cash into a nice gift is to present it artfully folded. In this practical tip, we’ll show you how to fold a bicycle out of cash.
How to Make a Bicycle Out of Bills: Here’s What You’ll Need
In addition to the money, you’ll need a few other supplies for this project.
- You’ll need 8 bills. The denomination doesn’t matter.
- However, make sure you have at least three bills of the same denomination, otherwise the frame will be asymmetrical.
- You’ll also need a ruler and tape. To avoid damaging the bills, it’s best to use removable tape.
Here’s how to make the bicycle
The preparations are very simple; you just need a little patience.
- Fold two bills like an accordion, spacing them 0.5 cm apart.
- Don’t make the spacing any larger, though, or you won’t be able to fold the wheel. To make the wheel, fold the folded bills in half and glue the outer flaps together.
- Roll the remaining six bills as thinly as possible into a cylinder.
- Form three equally sized strips into a triangle and glue them directly to your base.
- For the handlebars, fold one strip in half.
- Create the saddle by folding the strip one-third of the way in and bending the opposite third downward.
- You can glue the front wheel to the front axle, while the rear wheel is simply glued behind the frame to the base.
