You can now also activate WhatsApp on your PC. This allows you to use the messenger service on several devices at the same time. In this practical tip, we will show you how to proceed.

WhatsApp for PC & Mac: How to activate the messenger

You can now use WhatsApp on up to 5 devices at the same time. Unlike in the past, no permanent internet connection of the smartphone is necessary. This is made possible by the “Linked Devices” function. To use it, proceed as follows:

• In the browser on your PC, call up the address https://web.whatsapp.com/. Here you will see a QR code on the right side of the page.

• Now open WhatsApp on your smartphone, click on the three dots at the top right and select “Linked devices”.

• Tap on “Add device” and enter the code to unlock your smartphone.

• Scan the displayed code to use WhatsApp on your Mac or PC.
