If you decide to download the official Windows 11 ISO, you will install the final version of the new Microsoft operating system. The update improves the App Store, the handling of open windows and also offers a modified user interface.
Windows 11 ISO – how to install
Windows 11 is now available for download as an official German ISO file, which enables the installation of the operating system in the Home or Professional version, each with 64-bit. The file enables both a complete new installation of the operating system and the update of an existing Windows 10 variant.
- Please check in advance whether you meet the system requirements for Windows 11.
- The option of installation via ISO file is intended for users who want to create a bootable installation medium, i.e. USB stick as well as DVD, or a virtual machine (.ISO file) for using Windows 11.
- After downloading the ISO file, you therefore have the option of including Windows 11 in the system via the Deploy function (right-click -☻ Deploy), or also setting it up on a USB stick as well as burning it onto a blank disc.
- If you want to carry out the normal update installation, select the setup.exe file within the downloaded file folder. Then allow Microsoft to make changes to your system. The installation of Windows 11 will begin. Simply follow the installation setup.
- Tip: Microsoft itself recommends for users of Windows 10 to wait with the update until you receive the message via Windows Update that the upgrade is available for your PC.
