Reporting speed cameras and hazards via OOONO is easy and can be done while driving. All it takes is one or two clicks.
OOONO: How to report speed cameras and hazards
OOONO devices not only warn you about speed cameras and hazards on the road. You can also report them and let other road users know.
- If you spot a speed camera while driving, press the OOONO device once. The location is saved and transmitted to the system to warn other road users.
- If it is a hazard instead, you must press twice. If, for example, you discover a poorly marked intersection, you can report it this way.
- You can also confirm warnings you receive on the device. For speed cameras, press once after the warning to confirm it.
- Confirm hazards by pressing the device twice after a warning – this will minimize distractions while driving. This registers in the system that the hazard is still present.
- If no incidents or speed cameras are visible despite a warning, you can also report this. To do this, press the button on the top of the OOONO device once.
- Please note: These devices are not navigation systems. Although they have access to map data and the internet via your smartphone, they do not have navigation functions.
Reporting speed cameras with OOONO: What you need to know
When using an OOONO device, there are several points to keep in mind to ensure smooth operation.
- Please note that the OOONO device requires an internet connection via the paired smartphone. If your phone is offline, you will not be able to send real-time alerts to others.
- One of the biggest advantages of the system is that alerts are collected in a community database. They are not only stored locally, so that numerous road users can benefit from them.
- It is essential to update OOONO devices regularly. This is done via the associated app. This is the only way to stay up to date and take advantage of important updates and features.
