Lady Gaga makes a guest appearance in the second part of the second season of the Netflix hit series “Wednesday,” which revolves around the Addams Family and Nevermore Academy.

Lady Gaga plays Rosaline Rotwood in the sixth episode of the second season. The episode is titled “Know Your Suffering” and was released on the streaming service on September 3, 2025.
Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega, meets Rosaline Rotwood in this episode at Rotwood Cottage. Lady Gaga appears in this role for about two minutes.
The singer spent a total of three days in Ireland filming the episode. The role was announced by Netflix on June 1, 2025, in a tweet on X (formerly Twitter).

As Rosaline Rotwood, Lady Gaga plays an important role in saving Wednesday and Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) from a cruel fate.

Spoiler alert: The mystery surrounding Rosaline Rotwood is a central part of the second season. Don’t read on if you want to watch the episodes without knowing the information beforehand.
Rotwood was a professor at Nevermore Academy and lived in the cottage that Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán) move into. Wednesday wants to restore her magical gift and is guided in the right direction by her grandmother Hester Frump (Joanna Lumley).
She must go to Rotwood’s tombstone, where the eerie raven from the previous episodes is sitting, and touch it. She then meets Rotwood in the form of a ghost in a hidden chamber in the cottage.
Rotwood explains to Wednesday that she must not break the “raven’s gaze” and sets her a test. At that moment, Enid finds her best friend and touches her. As a result, Wednesday fails to hold her gaze and both girls fall to the ground.
They then wake up in each other’s bodies. Wednesday learns from Rotwood that they must understand what makes the other special in order to return to their own bodies.
At the same time, this is the only way to break the curse so that they both don’t die. Despite her brief appearance, Rotwood is therefore an important character in the story.
