If you want to cancel your TUI Card, you must observe the deadlines set by the bank that issued the credit card. Canceling makes sense if you’re not traveling much at the moment or if the card is too expensive for you.
Canceling your TUI Card: Here’s how to proceed
- You can draft the cancellation notice as an informal letter on your computer. In addition to stating that you wish to cancel your TUI Card within the notice period, the letter should also include your address, your customer number, and your credit card number. You can find the relevant information on your TUI Card statement.
- In the cancellation letter, you should also request written confirmation.
- For the cancellation to take effect, it must be received in writing by Commerzbank, the issuing bank. You can send your cancellation either by mail (preferably by certified mail) or by email.

Properly dispose of your TUI Card
Once the cancellation is effective, you no longer need your TUI Card. You should dispose of it properly.
- After the contract expires, you should physically destroy your TUI Card for security reasons—ideally by cutting up the chip and the magnetic strip.
- Make sure that your personal data on the card is no longer legible.
- The credit card does not belong in household trash, just like other cards with chips. Instead, you should take it to a recycling center or drop it off at your local bank branch.
