If your TV picture is out of alignment, it can be quite annoying. Find out what you can do about it here.
TV picture is misaligned – here’s what you can do about it
A misaligned TV picture causes a number of problems. Below, we’ve put together some tips on how to resolve this issue:
- First of all, you should check the cable. If you receive your channels via a set-top box, check the connection cable between the TV and the set-top box.
- This must not be damaged and must also be connected correctly. Try replacing the cable to see if that helps.
- You can also use an alternative connection. Test the various sockets to narrow down the fault further.
- The firmware on your set-top box or television may also be out of date. You should therefore check whether new firmware is available and install it.
- Some manufacturers also offer manual picture adjustment. Please refer to your device’s user manual for details.
- Note: Some films are broadcast in 16:9 format. On some devices, this results in two black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. This is not a fault; it is the standard television format.
