To enlarge your Instagram profile picture and view it in full size, you’ll need to use a few tricks. With the right tools, you can enlarge any Instagram profile picture and even download it.
Enlarging and downloading Instagram profile pictures
Sites such as instazoompro.de or instazoomer.de are the easiest way to enlarge the Instagram profile pictures you want and view them in the format in which they were uploaded. These sites all have a similar layout and are peppered with adverts; they usually come across as rather dodgy. So use them at your own risk – always be careful about what you click on and download.
- Enter the desired username in the search field.
- In most cases, you will now see the profile picture or be prompted again to click a button. You can either view or download the image. You can also download the image to your computer by right-clicking – ‘Save image as’.
View the Instagram profile picture in your browser
With this slightly more involved – but secure – method, you can view the profile picture in its original size without having to visit third-party websites.
- Open the Instagram profile in your browser. We have tested this method in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
- Right-click on a blank area to view the page source code (Figure 1). This will now open in a new tab.
- Now use Ctrl + F to search for “profilepage_”. The number that follows is the user ID. (Figure 2)
- Open https://i.instagram.com/api/v1/users/USER-ID/info/ and enter the number combination in place of ‘USER-ID’ in the link.
- Search for “hd_profile_pic_url_info” – again using Ctrl + F. The resulting link opens the profile picture in its original size. (Figure 3)
