- The OnePlus Pro 9 and OnePlus 9 smartphone models are both IP86 certified. This means that both models are dustproof and waterproof.
- If a device has IP68 certification, the number six indicates that the smartphone is protected against dust. This means that dust cannot get inside the device (as long as it is undamaged).
- The number eight, on the other hand, means that your smartphone is waterproof. More precisely, the certification guarantees that your OnePlus Pro 9 will not be damaged under water up to a maximum depth of 1.5 metres. However, this only applies to fresh water.
- In salt water and at a depth of more than one and a half metres, there is no longer any guarantee. If the unit comes into contact with salt water, rinse it immediately with running water. And: Use a special protective cover for diving.
