If you would like to access your e-mails from your 1&1 account on your iPhone or iPad, you must first set up your account. With the right access data, this can be done in just a few minutes.

Reach emails from 1&1 account on iPhone

To retrieve your mails from 1&1 you have to set up your mail account once. After that, you will automatically receive your messages via Apple’s pre-installed Mail app.

  • First open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Scroll down and select the “Mail” menu item there.
  • Under Accounts, click on “Add Account”.
  • Now select “Other” at the very bottom, under Mail Providers.
  • There, click on the first item “Add mail account”.
  • Now you have to enter the user data of your mail account. You will be asked for your name as well as your mail address, password and account name. Once you have filled in all the fields, click on “Next”.
  • Now you can choose between the POP and IMAP protocols. The most common is the POP protocol, which was also selected here in the example.
  • Fill in the fields that have not yet been filled in. On the picture you can see what information you need.
  • For incoming e-mails the host name is “pop.1and1.de” or “smtp.1and1.de”, for outgoing e-mails “smtp.1und1.de”.
  • Now open the Mail app, you can check your email for the first time.
