Shortcut for the @ sign on Apple’s Mac keyboard

Depending on how old your Mac keyboard is, the @ sign can be inserted differently.

  • On older keyboards, you must press the “Shift”, “Alt” and “1” keys simultaneously.
  • On newer Mac keyboards, the character can be inserted using “Alt” and “L”.
