If you’d like to tweak the sound of your SoundCloud tracks yourself, you can do so using an equaliser. In this practical tip, we’ll show you what adjustments are possible on SoundCloud.
Equaliser on SoundCloud: Is there even one?
- You can now access SoundCloud not only via the web app, but also via the apps for iOS and Android. Soundnode is also available as a piece of software.
- Unfortunately, there is currently no equaliser in any version. It’s unlikely there will be one any time soon. Unlike Spotify and similar services, the need for an equaliser is quite low on SoundCloud due to the nature of its content.
SoundCloud: Equaliser for iOS, Android and Windows
Note: Unfortunately, the following options work rather poorly. As long as SoundCloud does not offer its own equaliser, you can only make do with workarounds:
- With an equaliser for Windows, you can adjust some of the sound settings yourself. However, this option is not available on all computers.
- On iOS, you’ll find a basic equaliser in the ‘Settings’ app under the relevant category. However, this only works for the Music app and, unfortunately, not for SoundCloud.
- The situation is similar on Android. Here, however, you can try using an equaliser app to get a bit more bass.
