Microsoft Edge: Activate Javascript – this is how it works

by Corinna

You do not need to manually activate Javascript in Microsoft Edge. This is because the scripting language is already automatically activated in the browser. If this is not the case for you, you can change this in the Edge settings.

Enable Javascript in Microsoft Edge : How to do it

Javascript is a programming language used on many websites. In order for web content to be displayed correctly, Javascript should therefore be enabled. This is already the case by default in Microsoft Edge. To check whether or not Javascript is enabled for you, call up the WhatsIsMyBrowser.com website. The blue field should say “Yes”. If this is not the case, activate Javacript manually.

  • Click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner and select “Settings”.
  • Click on the “Cookies and website permissions” tab on the left-hand side.
  • Scroll down to the “JavaScript” entry and click on it.
  • Enable JavaScript by setting the switch at “Allowed (recommended)” to “On”.
