Setting up the Meta Quest 3 requires two different processes. These include the actual setup and the device preparation
Setting up Meta Quest 3: Prepare VR glasses
Preparation is essential for setting up your Meta Quest 3 VR glasses. You can then complete the pairing process with the app.
- Unpack the goggles and controller. Then press the on/off button on the glasses for a period of three seconds.
- You will hear a sound and the Meta logo will appear in the lenses. Now press the meta symbol on the right and the symbol with the stripes on the left contrioller for at least two seconds.
- The controllers should then light up white. They also react haptically to the setup. The glasses and controller are now connected to each other
- Put on the glasses and follow the on-screen instructions. You can then adjust the glasses in the seat to complete the hardware setup.
- Attention: Do not forget to remove the battery protection strips from the controllers. Only then are the controllers ready for use.
Set up Meta Quest 3 via the app: Instructions
Setting up the Meta Quest 3 is done entirely via the app. You must install it first and then log in.
- Open the app and navigate to the Devices menu item. Then put on the Meta Quest 3. Make sure that you have activated Bluetooth on your smartphone
- You will see a five-digit code. Check the app on your smartphone. You will be prompted to enter the code there
- Enter it to start the pairing process. It is executed automatically.
- After pairing, the setup is complete and you can use the Meta Quest 3. This is possible directly
- Note: If problems occur during pairing, this is usually due to outdated software. Simply download the latest version of the app.
