Tribute of Panem: Chronological order of the films

If you want to watch the Tribute of Panem films, you should first consider the correct order. There are five parts in total

Order of the Tribute to Panem films: These are the first two

Many people have known actress Jennifer Lawrence since the Tribute to Panem series. She plays Katniss Everdeen in the films: A courageous young woman who becomes the figurehead in a war against an evil regime.

• The first part of the series is called The Hunger Games, which was released in cinemas in 2012. It should actually have been Katniss’ little sister who has to fight for her survival in an arena

• But Katniss volunteers for the cruel games that the evil regime watches on TV at home for amusement. Together with Peeta, a boy from the same district, the young woman fights against the others.

• Fans did not have to wait long for the sequel: In 2013, the second part called The Tributes of Panem – Catching Fire was released in cinemas. This film grossed around 865 million US dollars at the box office worldwide. To date, it is Jennifer Lawrence’s most successful film in which she has played the lead role.

• The victory of Katniss and Peeta in the first movie leads to unrest. The president therefore devises a plan: he wants the winners of the previous games to compete against each other again. But the president’s plan doesn’t work out as he had hoped.

In 2023, another part of the series was released in cinemas

Tribute of Panem – Mockingjay has two parts – the first of which was released in 2014.

• In the first Mockingjay part, more and more people rise up against the regime. They join the rebels – including Katniss. She becomes the public face of the resistance

• Peeta, on the other hand, is being held by the president in his own home. Katniss tries everything to free him from the Capitol’s clutches.

• In the second part of Mockingjay, the war continues and many must lose their lives. Katniss gets closer and closer to her ultimate enemy, President Snow. During the fight against the regime, however, the young woman realizes that not all of her confidants mean well.

• This ends the series for the time being. The movie The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will follow in 2023. However, the plot takes place around 60 years before Katniss and Peeta. In this film, the later President Snow plays the main role.
