How to use Windows 11 in Dark Mode

You can use Windows 11 in dark mode just like Windows 10. If you would like to make the display a little more individual, you will find colour settings under Windows 11 that darken the display in a similar way.

Windows 11 – how to activate Dark Mode

You can find the Dark Mode option in the settings.

• So open the Settings app and select “Personalisation”.

• Next, click on “Colours”.

• Next to “Select Mode”, select “Dark” from the drop-down menu to use Dark Mode.

Many dark designs in Windows 11

In addition to the classic Dark Mode, Windows 11 offers numerous designs that similarly darken the screen content.

• Click on “Browse designs” here to browse for more dark designs.
• If you select the option “Contrast designs”, several designs with black elements will be suggested to you. Select one of them and click on “Apply”.
You can then adapt the design to your wishes by clicking on “Edit”. Here you can adjust the colour of individual elements.
• Alternatively, switch to “Colours” in the personalisation screen. Here you can also set the classic dark mode for the selected design.
