If you want to delete archived Amazon orders, this will no longer be possible as of April 2025. The function will no longer be available.
Deleting archived orders on Amazon: All info
If you previously archived an order on Amazon, it was no longer visible in your order overview.
- Unfortunately, this feature has been discontinued since April 30, 2025. Since August 2025, you can find all your previously archived orders in your normal order history.
- Since these are now part of your normal orders again, it is not possible to delete them. Amazon does not offer this feature and, as of September 2025, the company has no plans to integrate it.
- This means that all of your orders are always visible, even if they were previously archived. You should keep this in mind if you want to order something that others should not necessarily see, such as upcoming birthday gifts or Amazon gift cards.
- Since you can no longer delete orders, it may be worth creating another Amazon account for future purchases and not sharing it with others. This allows you to shop without any problems and without anyone being able to view your orders.
- Tip: You can make lists such as your Amazon wish lists or gift lists private. This prevents others from seeing your planned purchases. However, purchases already made within these lists can still be viewed in the order overview.
Unarchiving orders on Amazon: How it used to work
It is not known whether Amazon will bring back the order archiving feature at some point. If so, it is worth knowing how you could previously unarchive archived orders.
- After logging into your Amazon account, you clicked on Account & Lists with your mouse. Using the My Account option, you then navigated to Order and Shopping Settings.
- There you would find the Archived Orders option. By clicking on it, you could view your orders that you had previously archived.
- After selecting the desired order, the option Cancel order was previously displayed below it. Clicking on this option would restore it to a “normal order.”
- You could then find the previously archived order in your normal order history again.
