If you are still waiting for a package in the evening, you are probably wondering how long and on which days of the week Hermes actually delivers. Here you will find an overview.
How long does Hermes deliver? An overview
Compared to DHL and DPD, Hermes parcel carriers may ring your doorbell even at late hours. But what is the reason behind this, and what are Hermes’ delivery times? We explain.
- Since the driver should deliver as many parcels as possible in one day, your parcel may arrive later.
- Hermes delivers on the following days and times: Monday to Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. There is no regular delivery on Sundays. There is also no delivery on public holidays; delivery takes place on the following working day.
- If the Hermes employee works overtime, more or less voluntarily, the package may still arrive at your door at 9:00 p.m. Compared to other delivery companies, Hermes offers greater variability.
- However, there is no guarantee that your package will arrive on the specified delivery date. In individual cases, the tour may also have to be cut short due to an accident, illness, or too many packages.
- Please note: There may be regional differences. In rural areas, tours often end earlier, while in large cities, deliveries are more likely to be made until 9:00 p.m.
Hermes: When will my package arrive?
With Hermes shipment tracking, you can check online to see on which day your package is scheduled to be delivered.
- With the additional parcel notification service, a two-hour time window is specified in which delivery is expected. However, this is rarely the case.
- If the parcel carrier still has several parcels in the car at a late hour and cannot deliver all of them in time, they must be sorted out.
- Packages from large mail order companies are then given priority. If you are expecting a private shipment or a package from a smaller online store, the chances are rather slim.
