Laundry symbols: What the symbols for the dryer mean
The image shows the various dryer symbols and their meanings. We explain exactly what you need to bear in mind with the washing symbols:
- Tumble dry: The symbol with a circle inside a square indicates that you can safely tumble dry the garment. However, you should not use quick programs with increased temperatures.
- Do not tumble dry: If the dryer symbol is crossed out, you must not dry the garment in the dryer.
- Tumble dry at high temperature: Two dots in the middle of the dryer symbol indicate that the garment can be tumble dried at a high temperature. You can also use quick programs without hesitation.
- Tumble dry at low temperature: One dot in the middle of the dryer symbol indicates that you should tumble dry the garment at a low temperature. Use a gentle cycle.
