If you enjoy learning about wolves, you’ve probably wondered at some point where these animals actually sleep. This question is very easy to answer if you take a closer look at wolves’ social behavior.
Where do wolves sleep? What you should know
Unlike us humans, wolves sleep during the day. At night, they are out and about.
- Since wolves are very social animals, they like to stay close to their pack. Accordingly, they also sleep near the pack, or even very close to one another.
- Since wolves sometimes like to stay in a territory for longer periods, they develop not only feeding grounds but also fixed sleeping spots.
- They prefer sheltered spots for sleeping, such as under trees or surrounded by boulders.
- However, wolves only choose caves to raise their pups.
