If your Samsung TV turns off after a certain time or after a certain amount of viewing time, you can easily disable this auto shut-off feature. We’ll show you how.
Instructions: Turn off automatic shutdown on your Samsung TV
Depending on your preferences, you can use the automatic shutdown feature to keep your TV viewing under control or to use the TV as a sleep aid. Depending on your TV model, the following instructions may vary slightly.
- Press the Home button on your remote (which may be colored) to open the Smart Hub.
- Here, look for “Settings” and select “System Manager” under “General.”
- In the “Time” section, you’ll now find the “Sleep Timer.” Set the feature to “Off.”
- If needed, you can set the sleep timer back to a desired number of minutes. Once the selected time has elapsed, the TV will turn off automatically unless you press a button on the remote.
- If necessary, also disable the “Auto Off” option. There, you can set a specific time at which the TV will turn off.
